Prince Harry Breaks Silence on Divorce Rumors: Apparently, We’ve Divorced 10-12 Times
During the New York Times DealBook Summit on December 4, Prince Harry addressed recent speculation surrounding his marriage to Meghan Markle.
The Duke of Sussex, in conversation with host Andrew Ross Sorkin, spoke candidly about living under intense public scrutiny, including tabloid gossip suggesting that he and Meghan are facing marital issues.
Sorkin touched upon the media’s fascination with the couple’s every move, referencing recent claims that their separate public appearances indicate a strained relationship. Responding lightheartedly, Harry said, “I Googled news about me, and there were people fascinated by everything we’re doing all the time.

Megan is in California right now, and I’m here with articles left and right about why we’re doing independent events. You invited me, so you should have known this proposal happened.”
Harry humorously dismissed the rumors, adding, “Apparently, we’ve bought or moved house maybe 10-12 times. We’ve divorced maybe 10-12 times as well. So, it’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you just slightly ignore it.”
The Duke continued to brush off the speculation, expressing sympathy for those who spread such rumors. “The people I feel most sorry for are the trolls. Their hopes build and build, and then it doesn’t happen. I genuinely feel sorry for them.”
He also acknowledged the scrutiny his statements would likely attract. “Everything we’ve spoken about today will be spun or twisted somehow against me. Maybe you will be trolled relentlessly, and I can only apologize.”

During the interview, Harry also spoke about his work with the Archewell Foundation and his focus on fatherhood. He briefly mentioned his children, Archie and Lilibet, whom he shares with Meghan.
“Moreover, in my charitable work, my main goal is to be the best husband and dad I can be. I very much enjoy living here and bringing my kids up here.”
Reflecting on his life in the United States, Harry said, “It’s a part of my life I never thought I was going to live. I feel as though it’s the life my mom wanted for me. Being able to do the things I can with my kids, which I undoubtedly wouldn’t be able to do in the UK, is huge. It’s a fantastic opportunity, and I’m hugely grateful.”
